Escarpment Luxury Lodge sits perched on the rim of the Great Rift Valley, overlooking Lake Manyara and a steep gorge. Built into the bush, it blends luxury and nature: thatched roofs, wooden floors, large windows and doors, and private decks allow guests to be immersed in the wild. Each chalet is elegantly furnished, combining traditional African design elements (carvings, artefacts, mosquito nets) with modern amenities like air-conditioning, indoor & outdoor showers, free WiFi, and comfortable en-suite bathrooms (often featuring bathtubs). The main public areas include a spacious thatched-lounge and bar, dining area with panoramic views, a large terrace deck, and an infinity pool with views over the lake. The lodge opened in 2011.
