Yako African Adventures

These Terms and Conditions outline the agreement between Yako African Adventures (“we,” “our,” or “us”) and the traveler (“you” or “client”) regarding the booking and participation in any of our safaris, tours, or travel services. By booking a trip with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.

1. Booking and Payments

  • A deposit of 30% of the total tour price is required to confirm your booking.

  • The balance must be paid no later than 30 days before your departure date.

  • Bookings made within 30 days of departure require full payment at the time of confirmation.

  • All prices are quoted in USD, unless otherwise stated.

2. Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations must be made in writing (via email).

  • The following cancellation fees apply:

    • More than 60 days before departure: Full refund minus bank/transfer fees.

    • 30–59 days before departure: 25% of total cost retained.

    • 15–29 days before departure: 50% of total cost retained.

    • 14 days or less before departure: 100% of total cost retained.

  • No refunds will be given for unused services once the tour has started.

3. Alterations and Changes

  • Yako African Adventures reserves the right to alter routes, accommodations, or itineraries due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, park regulations, or safety concerns.

  • If such changes occur, we will make every effort to provide equivalent alternatives of equal or higher value.

4. Travel Insurance

  • Comprehensive travel and medical insurance is mandatory for all clients.

  • Your insurance should cover trip cancellation, medical expenses, personal accidents, evacuation, and loss of belongings.

  • Yako African Adventures is not liable for any costs arising from your failure to obtain adequate insurance.

5. Health and Safety

  • Clients are responsible for ensuring they are in suitable health to participate in the booked activities.

  • Please inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or dietary requirements in advance.

  • Proof of yellow fever vaccination may be required upon entry into Tanzania.

6. Liability

  • While Yako African Adventures takes all reasonable precautions to ensure your safety and satisfaction, travel inherently involves risks.

  • We shall not be held liable for injury, illness, death, damage, or loss resulting from acts of nature, strikes, accidents, or any cause beyond our control.

  • We act only as an agent for hotels, transport services, and other suppliers; therefore, we cannot accept responsibility for any default by third parties.

7. Wildlife and Park Regulations

  • All clients must comply with park and wildlife regulations.

  • Disturbing wildlife, leaving vehicles in restricted areas, or littering in protected zones is strictly prohibited.

8. Complaints

  • If you have a complaint during your tour, please inform your guide or our representative immediately so we can resolve the issue promptly.

  • Complaints made after the trip must be submitted in writing within 14 days of return.

9. Force Majeure

  • Yako African Adventures is not liable for failure to perform due to events beyond our control, including war, natural disasters, pandemics, or government restrictions.

  • In such cases, we will work to reschedule or issue partial refunds where possible.

10. Governing Law

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.

  • Any disputes arising shall be handled by the competent courts in Arusha, Tanzania.
