Tarangire is especially famous for its large elephant herds, where you can observe everything from playful calves to mighty bulls. Serengeti National Park

Accommodation: Dove Serengeti Camp

After an early breakfast, you will depart for the Serengeti National Park, enjoying game viewing en route. The Serengeti is one of the most celebrated wildlife sanctuaries in the world, renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, immense ecological value, and the greatest concentration of plains game in Africa.

The park is most famous for the Great Wildebeest Migration—one of nature’s most remarkable spectacles. Each year, over a million wildebeest accompanied by 200,000 zebras journey across the plains in search of fresh grazing. Their ancient instinct drives them south from the northern hills to the southern plains with the short rains in October and November, then west and north again after the long rains in April to June. Neither drought, gorges, nor crocodile-filled rivers can stop this epic migration.

Beyond the migration, Serengeti offers iconic sunrises and sunsets over endless plains, abundant predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards, and an unmatched sense of wilderness.

A packed lunch will be enjoyed at a scenic picnic site before continuing with game drives. In the late afternoon, you’ll head to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Dove Serengeti Camp.

Accommodation: Kitela Lodge

After an early breakfast, depart the Serengeti and drive to the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. Often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” the Crater is the largest intact volcanic caldera on earth and boasts one of the highest densities of wildlife in Africa.

Although the Crater attracts many visitors, its extraordinary setting and guaranteed wildlife encounters make it an unforgettable safari experience. This is one of the best places in Tanzania to see the endangered black rhinoceros, as well as large prides of lions, herds of wildebeest, zebras, hippos, and elephants. The Ngorongoro is also home to the complete Big Five, with excellent year-round sightings of lions and Cape buffalo.

A packed lunch will be enjoyed at a scenic picnic site within the Crater. In the late afternoon, ascend the Crater walls and drive to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Kitela Lodge.
